What you need.
1 pound venison or elk
1 thin slice of ham
1 cube of cheddar cheese
one slice of Swiss cheese
1 Portabella mushroom — stem removed
half teaspoon ground black pepper
half teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
1 jalapeno pepper
two slices thick cut bacon
What to do.
Mix hamburger with onion, pepper and salt. Take half pound of hamburger and flatten into one large patty. Next add cube of cheddar cheese to center of patty. Now add to the patty the slice of ham. Take the other half of hamburger and make into large patty and put on top of prepared patty. Now form into large hamburger and put on grill. While the hamburger is cooking prepare your bacon and mushroom. Cook bacon until it is just crispy and in the same pan fry the mushroom. Set the bacon and mushroom aside keeping warm. Remove the hamburger from the grill when it is medium done. Place the hamburger on the bottom side of the bun and add the Swiss cheese, mushroom, bacon, and pepper to the top of the hamburger. Top off with the other half of the bun. Now cut in half and serve with your favorite beverage. Some nice homemade fries would go well with this big meal. Now sit down and enjoy your, not so spendy, yet tasty mega burger.
