Flathead Perch: A Note From the Macman

Fishermen:

I spent part of February 7th on the East Bay of Polson Bay targeting perch. The ice was around 5”thick where I was fishing a little North of Hell Roaring Creek in 3 ½ to 4 feet of water. Everywhere I chipped a hole there were perch. They would come through in big schools most of them about 5”to 6” long but there were enough big ones to keep my interest.

I’m writing this note not so much to stir interest in ice fishing for them but in anticipation of the spring “bite” in April

Good Fishing
