Hebgen Lake- Ice Condition, 3 Layers, 12-20 in. of ice, under 2-6 in. of slush, under 6-12 in. of snow. However, it has been extremely cold in the mornings and tracks from the Tourney have packed a lot more of the northwest end down. The bite has been best in the morning with primetime between 7:30-10:30. The Narrows are holding quite a few Rainbows and Whitefish, with an array of jigs and baits producing. Fishing in the deeper water look for Browns and Rainbows to be active in anywhere from 5 -20 f.o.w. Small white and green jigs or a Swedish pimple are doing well tipped with maggot or mealworm and fished just off the bottom and up to 10’.Thanks to Montana Outdoor Radio and The Captain for helping make Montana’s 1st NAIFC Qualifier a success!

Thanks,

Kyle
