Hebgen Lake Ice Fishing Report
By Matt Schauer

Snow has been falling for the last 4 days and has accumulated to over a foot. Slush has also been returning with the extra pressure and insulation. Still plenty of ice and plenty of fish.

The Dam has been fishing great with Rainbows hanging around 15’ under the ice and Browns cruising the bottom. The steep banks and deeper water of the northwest part of the lake are holding some big fish and fishing has been steady all the way to mile marker 16.

No report from the Narrows this week, but expect fish to be patrolling that area with some regularity.

The go to tackle has been working just fine, so if you’ve got that favorite jig , spoon, or bait combo get it wet and see what happens.

Good Luck and Tight Lines!
