Checking in with all you Hebgen Lake ice fishermen to invite you to another event coming up soon. Many of you said you would like to get together again for some “friendly competition”, so we are putting together a day of ice fishing on Saturday, March 3.

We will be offering a smaller scale Kid’s Ice Camp at the Kirkwood Marina on that Saturday afternoon, as a part of West Yellowstone’s KidsNSnow program. To make a day of it, we are inviting fishermen to a Fishing Challenge that morning, March 3, starting at 8 am until noon. There will be merchandise and gift certificates as prizes for the “most inches” of browns, rainbows or cutthroats caught in that 4-hour period by 2-person teams.

Give Kyle a call at (406) 646-7200 to let him know you are coming. Be sure to look at the list of sponsors on our tournament website; they will all be glad to help you out with arrangements while you are here – www.westyellowstoneicefishing.com

PS. We are planning on holding the 2nd Hebgen Lake NAIFC Tournament on the first weekend of February in 2013, February 1-3. Get that date on your calendar now…tell your fishing buddies to plan to be in the tournament next year…and let us know of any suggestions you have to make it an even better ice fishing event.

Also, if you have any pictures or comments from the tournament a few weeks ago, feel free to post them on our Facebook page: West Yellowstone Ice Fishing Tournament (and “Like” the page!) The more people talking about the tournament… the more people who will register next year…the bigger the prize pool!!
