Chancy at Snappy’s in Kalispell says, Flathead Lake (pictured above) still has a little bit of ice, do to the snow and cold. Bitterroot Lake has a big pressure ridge at the South End be careful out there, so you don’t fall in like a couple guys did a week or so ago. Lower Stillwater still good for ice fishing for perch and pike. Open water at Fennon, and Church Slough but Church Slough is closed to water craft. Smith Lake is starting to open up, but is still half froze. And the kid ponds are doing pretty good for trout.

Flathead Lake doing well, Mack Days, West shore near Painted rocks, good reports in the deltas jigging in 80-100 ft of water. Most accesses are open Yellow Bay, Blue Bay, West Shore State Park, and Summer’s Bay but Summer’s a bit shallow. The Lower Thompson River has been good for fly fishing for Rainbows and Brown Trout with Nymphs. East Side still ice fishing from the shore line.
