Fishing is really starting to pick up all across Montana. The ice is coming off and is not safe on most lakes. The walleyes are starting to spawn so fishing for them will slow down until the spawn is over.

I am heading to Glasgow this coming week to MC the Glasgow/Fort Walleye Unlimited Banquet again this year. The Valley Event Center in Glasgow will be full of 50 vendors from 9am-3pm Saturday and we will be one of them. We will have our branded merchandise for sale and some great deals on knives-water bottles-shirts-rain gear and gloves. Come on out and say hi to Doug Stewart and myself, admission is free and pick up your 2012 Big Game Hunting dates card. Tickets are still available for the banquet, Saturday night, April 14th, you can get them at D and G Sports in Glasgow.

Turkey season opens this Saturday April 14th and Spring Bear season open on Sunday April 15.

The Twisted Tea “Hot Fishing Spot of the Week” is a tie between Holter-Canyon Ferry and Hauser for trout fishing. You can catch trout from shore and from the boat trolling. The other area that is good fishing is below Fort Peck Dam for northern and walleyes.

Also congratulations to Sam Merwin from Plentywood and Dennis Meyers from Cascade the latest winners on the Kendall Four Seasons Subaru statewide trivia that we do twice every Saturday morning on the Montana Outdoor Radio Show. Read, listen and win with the Montana Outdoor Radio Show and montanaoutdoor.com

HAPPY EASTER and I will see you in Glasgow!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have a Great Week!
