Canyon Ferry:  Rainbow trout are being caught throughout the reservoir.  Shoreline anglers are doing good near the Outhouse, Shannon, Kim’s Marina, White Earth and Confederate using worms and/or marshmallows and fly fishing anglers are catching fish using nymphs, San Juan worms and wooly buggers.  Boat anglers continue to have success around Cemetery Island, White Earth and Hole-in-the-Wall trolling cranks (red, green and silver colors) or cowbells.  Walleye anglers are having success on the south end of the reservoir trolling worm harnesses and cranks in 8 to 18 feet of water.   Jigging for walleye is also working well pitching in shallow and vertically jigging bay points.  Adam Strainer, FWP, Helena

Hauser:  A few rainbows are being caught from shore below Canyon Ferry Dam and at the Causeway Bridge while using worms or Powerbait.  Boat anglers are having good luck while trolling cowbells, Rock N’ Rolls or needlefish.  Most rainbows are being caught around White Sandy and the mouth of the Causeway. A few walleye are being caught in Lake Helena while trolling crankbaits or bottom bouncers with leeches. Troy Humphrey, FWP, Helena

Holter:  Rainbow fishing continues to be good especially in the lower reservoir from the Oxbow to Holter Dam.  Trolling cowbells, Rock N’ Rolls or needlefish seems to be the best bet.  Shore anglers are catching a few rainbows around Log Gulch and Gates of the Mountains on worms.  Walleye fishing is slow, however, a few are being caught while jigging around the clay banks in the lower reservoir.  Troy Humphrey, FWP, Helena
