Take Some Time to Give, It’ll Make You Feel Good

Hi One and All,

A little slow getting this written this week but, it has given me a little more time to sort through some thoughts.

This past weekend I got to attend the graduation of my nephew at MSU, it was fun and I had a great time reconnecting with family.

I know many of us share our love of the water, fishing, hunting, camping and the outdoors with special people in our lives. This reminds me of something I wrote about sometime ago. I penned a plea in a local newspaper trying to recruit volunteer youth sport coaches which every season seemed to be more and more difficult to find. The gist of that effort was simply this; one of the most precious gifts we can give is “Our Time” whether it’s lending a helping hand to a neighbor, taking someone fishing who might not go on their own or passing on a piece of wisdom (a piece of ourself). That little gift will carry a positive impact that most times we’ll never see the result.

For that person it may be no big deal, may be a life altering event or just something that brings a smile to their heart. One thing I can almost guarantee is that it will make you feel good!

Mother’s Day is Sunday, which is a perfect opportunity to give some of our “time” with those special ladies in our lives. If we make GIVING of ourselves part our our habits, we won’t need a calendar to remind us.

As I prepare for some seminars I’m giving this Saturday, one piece of advice I intend to share and discuss at length is when “trolling” a main key to success is “REPEATABILITY.” I’ll talk more about this next week and explain in detail what I mean.

Til next time….Be Smart and Be Safe!
