Trout Are Hitting on Hungry Horse Reservoir – Northwest Montana Fishing Report

Chancy at Snappy’s in Kalispell says Bitterroot Lake’s are producing some nice kokanee salmon. They are having lot of good luck on Hungry Horse Reservoir (pictured above) for nice cuts and bull trout. Koocanusa is starting to clear up, some nice rainbows and bull trout are biting.

The kokanee are starting to bite again up by Rexford.  A few nice reports on Echo Lake for bass fishing and whitefish. Tally Lake catching some nice northern pike at about 20 pounds.

The Flathead sloughs are hitting pretty good on pike, bass, and a few crappie too! Ashley Lake is starting to do really well for those jigging, a lot of 12 and 14 inch fish.

Lake Mary Ronan is fishing really well for kokanee. In the Thompson chain of lakes, the middle lake jigging was doing really well.  Chancy caught some nice bass & pike earlier this week.
