Canyon Ferry Walleye Festival Kicks Off and More: MORS Weekly Wrap Up

This week, The Captain broadcasted live from the waters of Canyon Ferry Reservoir at the Canyon Ferry Walleye Festival.  If you missed the show, check out the Weekly Audio Reports to get up-to-date on the latest fishing news. The annual walleye tournament attracts 150 two – angler teams that will compete for a $10,000 first-place cash prize.  Dan Spence and Tianna Workman are in the lead.  They caught 5 fish, with a weight of 30.82 pounds. They also caught the biggest walleye of the day, a huge 15.08 pound fish, that netted them some $1420 for the biggest walleye. To see day one Tourny Tracker results, click here.

The Twisted Tea “Hot Fishing Spot of the Week” is Canyon Ferry Reservoir where the walleye festival and bite is ON.  Of the 462 walleyes weighed – 114 were over 16 inches.  Canyon Ferry maybe nice a place for a walleye fishing trip this summer.
