Bill says , “Excellent fishing this week. They are catching walleyes and northerns. The walleye are starting to take crankbaits. Walleye are being found at 10 to 15 feet using a worm harness. ” “They are catching northern on crankbaits with pink spoons.”, Bill says. The water temp is 62 to 63 degrees. The Pikemasters tournament is this weekend and there are still openings. I saw a walleye caught at 31 ¼ inches.

Some people are catching walleye on the 10 miles West toward Snow Creek . They are using jigs and minnows and starting to pull a few bottom bouncers with minnows. They are finding Northerns in the shallows on crankbaits. . The water temperature is 60 to 61 degrees.

Gene Moore, of Lake Ridge says, “ Fishing is excellent especially in the dredge cuts from Tail Race to Milk River. They are catching walleye, sauger and northerns. Minnows are working and leaches and cranks are just starting to pick up,” Gene explains. “ The lake is just starting.” he says.

Nelson, Forchette
Dan at West Side Sports tells us,.” Nelson is picking up, they are catching perch. Walleye are up in size and they are catching them on bottom bouncers, crawlers as well as jigs. Most of the fish have been 14 to 16 inches. Northerns are being caught on crankbaits .” He said, “Forchette is muddy. Not much catching happening. ” he says.

Fishing is picking up. So far they are catching off shore with leeches. Try using a longer leader with a sinker about one foot above the leader. People say that is working. Fishing is best at night and sometimes early morning.

Deadmans is so so.
Martinsdale is pretty fair fishing. Some people are limiting out on rainbows. Some are picking up browns. Please be reminded that Martinsdale is a fee camping area.
Musselshell flow is going down and it is less muddy.

Colton says,” Walleye is amazing right now. People are catching their limits or over using jigs and leeches although right now they are using more worms. No news on the crappie bite. Pike are being caught on cranks.

“ Fishing is excellent I would say the best in 6 years, “Sharon said. They are finding walleye 16 to 22 inches. We have gotten good reports toward pond#3 and #4. Trout fishing is good at Hole in the Wall at 20 feet. “ Sharon says. She said “ Perch fishing is good. We are seeing some ¾ pound and up.”

Lewistown East Fork Reservoir
“Fishing is better. Spring Creek is pretty good. It is clearing up and the Upper Spring Creek and they are catching them on mayflies .
The East Fork Reservoir has reported good fishing. Northern pike and perch are biting off shore on rapellas perch color.
At Ackley they are catching trout using a orange wedding ring and a nightcrawlers.
