Salmon Fly Hatch Going Strong on Rock Creek | Weekly Wrap Up
By Matt Schauer

Two big things happened last week. First and foremost Dean Henman from Miles City won the 2000 watt Yamaha Generator from Bretz RV and Marine. Henman registered online sometime in May and he was surprised to hear from us that he won. You may listen to the phone conversation by just clicking here. The second big thing was more personal for me. I caught a king salmon on the Clearwater River in Idaho last Sunday night. Thanks to Tom Steinbrenner, Bill Scullion and Gary Thompson. It was fun to finally catch a salmon after putting a ton of hours on the water.  Click here for the full report.

The Twisted Tea “Hot Fishing Spot of the Week” is still Rock Creek for the salmon fly hatch east of Missoula. Fort Peck was a close second for the second week in a row.

Also congratulations to and Scott McCullough, of Billings and John Swecker, of Laurel! They were the latest winners on the Kendall Four Seasons Subaru statewide trivia that we do twice every Saturday morning on the Montana Outdoor Radio Show. Read listen and win with the Montana Outdoor Radio Show and montanaoutdoor.com.

Next week we will be at the Canyon Ferry Walleye Festival.  Hope to see you there.

Have a Nice Fathers Day!
