Stand up Montana fly fishing is quite combo for a fun and adventurous fishing trip.  The stand up paddle board also known as SUP is stable enough to fish on, a great work out, a fun adventure on the rivers and flat out something new everyone should challenge themselves to try! We recommend to try this method out on the Yellowstone River, the flow is gentle and the fishing is hot. Even using a spin reel is common for beginners in transition to fly fishing. The best way to handle a rod and a paddle is to strap a milk crate or similar storage onto the board and then even use it for a stripping basket while you fish. Now it is easier than ever to surf some rapids in between the fishing holes! We also suggest to use the soft foam boards that won’t get so damaged by rocks and not to mention they are light and easy to load up on top of a car or truck.
