The Twisted Tea Fishing Photo Contest kicked off this week. It’s your chance to enter a picture and win some great prizes. Part of the Grand Prize Package is a customized camo seat cover from Headwaters Seat Covers in Three Forks (up to a $300 value). Plus you could win a gift card from Bob Wards, Town Pump or The Montana Club. Just click here or on to the banner promoting the contest on the home page of montanaoutdoor.com and follow the instructions to enter a picture.

Everyone is still waiting to see if the whitefish bite will happen on Flathead Lake. If it does, it will be within the next week or so. Bill Brown heard reports from Dick Zimmer, in Pablo, that he had some guys tell him they had caught some whitefish in Elmo Bay and Big Arm. Stay tuned we will keep you informed as we hear more. Read a story from Jim Vashro FWP’s Fisheries Manager for Flathead Lake here.

Read this post from Kjel Olson about how he flipped his raft on the middle fork of the Salmon River in Idaho. It is a great story and you can watch the video of Kjel flipping his raft on Velvet Falls.

Also, this week some great tips on Night Fishing from Trevor Johnson of Kits Tackle. Check it out on montanaoutdoor.com

The Twisted Tea “Hot Fishing Spot of the Week” is Fort Peck and the Flathead River for northern pike.

Also congratulations to Vaughn Oligny, of Hamilton, and Terry Caffee, of Great Falls! They were the latest winners on the Kendall Four Seasons Subaru statewide trivia that we do twice every Saturday morning on the Montana Outdoor Radio Show. Read listen and win with The Montana Outdoor Radio Show and montanaoutdoor.com

A big shout out goes to Jared Wright, of Kalispell, who knew the answer for our Bannack State Park Trivia question. He won a State Park Hoody and a gift card to The Montana Club.

Have good week and be safe!
