Terry Baldwin of Missoula went fishing last week on the lower Flathead River with his daughter Trisha Willey. “We fished for smallmouth bass and had some real good luck on them”, said Baldwin. His daughter Trisha picked up a nice 34 inch northern pike while tossing a green meps spinner into the weedlines. Baldwin said he loves fishing the Flathead River around Perma this time of the year for bass and pike. “We used banjo minnows with some success but had most of our luck on nightcrawlers while fishing for the bass”, said Baldwin.
