Holter Re-Opened After Fire Efforts: Northwest and North Central Montana Fishing Report

The Northwest Montana Fishing Report is provided by Chancy, of Snappy Sport Senter in Kalispell, Montana. Below is Chancy’s report of the latest fishing news:

Chancy at Snappy’s says river fishing has been good for brookee’s and browns. Woods Bay point has some good reports, but been spotty on the whitefish. Lower Flathead River below Kerr dam smallmouth fishing been doing well. Island Lake been doing well on perch and pike. Lake Mary Ronan dong well on perch. Middle Thompson doing well trolling for kokannee. Kokannee on Koocanusa been really good flashlight trolling. River fishing doing well, all the forks of the Flathead are fly fishing well.

The North Central Montana Fishing Report is provided by Leonard, of Roberts Bait and Tackle in Great Falls, Montana. Below is Leonard’s report:

Holter  (shown in the picture above)was closed down because of the fires but as of Saturday afternoon is re-open. Pishcun starting to get Northerns. Bynum doing well on perch and some trout.Lake Francis has been hit and miss. Tiber has a good bite going on. The river’s still mossy, nobody really fishing that right now.
