The Northwest Montana Fishing Report is provided by Chancy, of Snappy Sport Senter in Kalispell, Montana. Below is Chancy’s report of the latest fishing news:

Chancy at Snappy’s reported the river fishing has been good for brookee’s and browns. Fisher and Thompson River have been doing really well. Pike fishing is still doing well on Smith Lake in the 2 to 4 pound range. Be sure to use weedless bait. Blanchard Lake’s been producing Pike and Croppy’s and some nice perch, as well as Middle and Lower Thompson. Upper Thompson doing decent on perch in the 8-10 inch range. Whitefish have been reported on Flathead Lake. And reminds us next week is the Mack attack, and Dick Zimmer “The Mack Man” will be at Snappy’s on the 24th to help folks get that big one.

The North Central Montana Fishing Report is provided by Leonard, of Roberts Bait and Tackle in Great Falls, Montana. Below is Leonard’s report:

Leonard says it’s started to wind down a bit. Holter is still doing well. A lot of perch at Bynum where there’s water. Tiber the bite has been real good on night crawlers, jigs, and spinner blades in the deeper water. Fresno been the same in the deeper water, but there’s been a lot of hammer handles. The river is still too mossy, nobody really fishing that right now. If you have any questions or need rod & reel repair call Leonard 406-454-1877 Closed 19th to the 22nd.
