Montana Mallards: A Duck Hunters Delight
By Matt Schauer

Posted: September 19, 2012

Montana Mallards is a youth hunting and wounded warrior hunting program in Dillon, Montana. They allow youth hunters, accomponied by an adult, and wounded veterans to hunt their ranch for ducks and big game, all season long, with a mentor. However, they are not guides.  They only mentor groups to instill conservation ethics while providing a safe, fun, and rewarding hunting experience.

There is no charge for the use of the land or the mentor.  They say there isn’t a better waterfowl property in the state.

If you hunt with Montana Mallards, the mentors will teach you or your child:

  • decoy setting tips
  • calling tips
  • concealment tips
  • mentor you throughout the hunt
