Chancy at Snappy’s reports the fishing is great. Chancy went out on the river fishing for whitefish and did well. Koocanusa is doing well trolling with planer boards and flies on rainbows and bulls. Lake Mary Ronan fishing really well, despite the colder water temperatures. A few reports of rainbows coming out of the Bitterroot Lake. Flathead Lake is producing quite a few macks in the shallow water. No ice fishing yet.

Leonard from Roberts Bait and tackle reports that the fishing’s been slow with the snow and cold. Holter’s doing a little bit along the shoreline. Pishkun’s, Bynum, Francis, Tiber, and Fresno all have been pretty slow with hunting season open. If you have any questions or need rod & reel repair call Leonard at 1-406-454-1877.

 Southwest Montana Fishing Report

Shelby from Rocky Mountain Supply in Dillon says there was a lot of heavy artillery in the Dillon area with some nice reports of elk and mule deer. Shelby says the hunting reports are pretty decent. Shelby praises and thanks the local ranch and farm owners in the area for the access they have been permitting to some folks. Fishing on Clark Canyon Lake is doing well on worms topped with mellows. The fish are moving from the channel to more towards the dam. If your in the Dillon area stop into Rocky Mountain Supply for more information or call 1-406-683-2308.
