Four to five pounds ribs

Salt and pepper to taste

Two to three cups water

Barbecue sauce:

One cup ketchup

Quarter cup brown sugar

Two to three cloves minced garlic

One teaspoon ground ginger

Quarter cup water

One teaspoon course ground black pepper

(mix all the above ingredients well and double recipe if you want extra sauce)

What you do:

Spray large roaster with vegetable spray. Put two to three cups water in pan and add ribs. next baste them with the prepared barbecue sauce and seal tightly with lid or foil.

Cook in a preheated 350 degree oven for one hour without opening pan. Check for tenderness after an hour and if needed cook longer until just ready to fall off bones.

Pour off any excess liquid and baste with additional sauce and cook uncovered for ten more minutes or grill outside for added browning an additional five minutes. Goes great with baked beans and hot tortillas.
