Dan at West Side Sports tells us, “no fishing happening here this week because really bad weather. It is supposed to warm up this week so we will see.”

***Deadmans and Martinsdale

Martinsdale: Shore fishing is was producing rainbows. Bad weather and wind changed things. Water is very low and makes fishing difficult.

Deadmans is low and the dock is pulled. Weather made Trout fishing very difficult we heard.

*** Tongue River Marina & Scheels

Tongue River Reservoir

“Not much going on. A few very skilled fishermen have caught perch with an occasional walleye,” says Jordon. “The electricity will be on all year. The few docks will stay in as long as we can. They will stay up until the ice is up,” Jordon explains. Weather slowed for fishermen fishing.

The marina is closed for the season.

*** Silos Marina Sharon 266-3100

Canyon Ferry

Sharon says, “I saw no one fishing on the water this week the weather was just too bad. We even had a light layer of ice in a few places. It is delightful to look at but not good to walk on. We did see a few brave shore fishermen looking for trout.”

*** Minnow bucket Allen Camarillo 348-2440

“No one was fishing or reported this week because of the weather. The only thing I have heard is guys hunting are bringing a pole to the breaks and catching a few in the middle of the day,” Allen explains. “It should warm up this weekend so then we all can go out again.”

***Lake Elmo Billings

Shore fishermen are catching off shore a few fish but the changing temperatures changed fishing conditions this week.

*** Cooney

Not much fishing off the dam because of the weather. Night fishing is still happening.

Nate from Scheels says Cooney is very low and not many fishing there.

***Don’s Charlie 1-800-879-8194

Lewistown East Fork Reservoir

Fishing is holding on. There is good catching using Bluewings on Spring Creek. Snow and cold changed this some. Also using standard nymphs.

On Missouri River minnows are still working . You can get live minnows at Don’s now.

Achley is working for rainbow trout using glow hooks. Bait fishermen are using glow spinners or rainbow sparkle power bait with worms.

River is a little low. They are doing well for northerns from James Kipp to Rock Creek. They are catching sauger, walleye and some small catfish.

***Scheels Nate

Lucky went down the Yellowstone river and someone in the boat caught a 29 inch walleye.

Nate says, ”Yellowstone is fishing well for sauger on the Montana side of the border between Wyoming. Jig and cranks are working. There have been fishermen who caught their limits.

On the big Horn there is good trout fishing striping streamers. They are also using blue fox, Thomas cyclone and Rapella count down #7 and having success.

Cooney is very low and I have not heard of many fishermen going.
