Have you ever wondered what it is like to ski Lone Mountain on the 3,832 acre Big Sky Resort? Well the video below is just about as close as you can get from the perspective of the GoPro Camera that is mounted on the skiiers. Not only can you ski the 3,832 acres Big Sky Resort has to offer alone but you can buy the ‘Biggest Skiing in America’ Pass that adds on Moonlight Basin Resort’s acreage right next door on the ‘dark side’ some like to say to give you a total of 5,532 acres.

Tis’ the season to get out and get skiing! Big Sky got dumped on today and would be a great way to spend the rest of this holiday week! Follow the snow and you now know where you should go!

How do you get to Big Sky?

Take Highway 191 South from Bozeman an hour and you will be there with Lone Peak in your face making your mouth drool for some turns.

Some History:

Big Sky Resort opened in December of 1973 and has been growing ever since. It has been the outcome of NBC news anchor Chet Huntley, a Montana Native. Boyne Resorts bought the resort following Chet’s death from cancer.

Big Sky Resort continued to grow and add lifts but became nationally and internationally recognized when the addition of the Lone Peak Tram that put skiiers at an elevation of 11,166 feet and increasing Big Sky’s vertical drop to 4,180 ft.
