Commission To Meet Monday: Montana Wolf Harvest Update 12/9/12

So far, Montana hunters have harvested 89 wolves across the state. On Monday, Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks Commissioners will meet to discuss the status of the current wolf hunt and upcoming wolf trapping season.

Collared wolves from Yellowstone National Park have been shot and this has cause some controversy.  Commissioners may decide to to limit trapping around Yellowstone.

To report the harvest of a WOLF, please call the Harvest Reporting line at 1-877-FWP-WILD (1-877-397-9453). TheTRAPPING season will open on December 15th and theWOLF HUNTING/TRAPPING season will close on February 28, 2013.
