FWP released the Spring Coulee Draft Environmental Assessment to accept the donation of around 1,000 acres of rangeland along the Missouri River in Chouteau County.

The property is 13 miles of southwest of Big Sandy. It is connected to a 360 acred State School Trust land and over 100 acres of BLM owned land.

This property will add hunting, fishing and floating opportunities on the Missouri River.

The public comment period ran from October 17 to November 9, 2012. FWP reports they received 10 comments on the land acquisition and only one comment was opposed to the proposal.
