With the end of the 2012 hunting and fishing seasons drawing near, take a look at the following reminder from Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks:

NEW LICENSE YEAR FOR ANGLERS AND HUNTERS BEGINS MARCH 1

Montana’s 2013 hunting and fishing licenses—including conservation, fishing, spring black bear and turkey, upland game bird, deer and elk hunting licenses—will be available Jan. 14 online, at all FWP Regional offices and from all license providers.

March 1 begins the new 2013 license year for Montana hunters and anglers. Late season river and ice anglers and some hunters are reminded, however, that a 2012 license must be used through Feb. 28. New licenses for 2013 do not become valid until March 1.

Most 2013 licenses will be available on the FWP webpage at fwp.mt.gov, click “Buy A License“.
