Haven’t you heard? Bozeman and Big Sky area have been getting POUNDED with snow and giving everyday this week fresh powder to shred on. It has even been snowing on and off today!

Pictured above is a mere glimpse of the pure bliss that riders in the area have been experiencing all week. Picture is taken by Ryan Day Thompson (ryandaythompson.com).

Moonlight has been especially phenomenal at around 16-18 inches in the last 48 hours  with Bridger distracting the main crowd getting their 42″ inches from this week’s storm. Moonlight hold’s their powder better keeping it away from the direct sunlight as well as not much wind at all since Sunday.

The ski weather you could say is more than ideal, in these types of occasions you may want to think, where is the good snow and people not? Well Moonlight dominates this category. Big Sky attracts the tourists, Bridger keeps the Bozeman population busy and well, what does that leave? The locals of Big Sky and those few dedicated ‘Bozemanites’ skiing the fresh powder all week long. Regardless of the amount of snow Moonlight Basin Resort recieved this week, the lift lines stayed the usual, there was barely any.

Headwaters was sure quenching us locals thirst this week and surely will quench yours this weekend. So get up to Moonlight Basin Ski Resort this weekend, beat the crowds and enjoy the POW POW!
