Chancy from Snappy’s
There’s still some pretty good ice up there. Guys out of White Fish doing well on Beaver Lake for Kokannee and Lake Five for the smaller ones but they look to be great smokers. Crystal Lake’s been doing good on kokannee 8-10 inches with a few bigger ones and some occasional bigger trout and nice perch. The Lower Stillwater, perch fishing been doing well on the West End above the islands in the 9-10 inch range and few pike also. Upper Thompson doing pretty well on smaller perch with a few kokannee. Cibid Lake in the Thompson Chain is doing well for rainbows. Bitterroot Lake’s been slow, but a better for folks in the shallower water in that 60ft depth. March 9th the Flathead Chapter of Walleye’s Unlimited Banquet, there will be seminars starting at 9am.

Leonard from Roberts Bait and Tackle
Be careful with the ice, its getting rotten in spots. Holter they’re still fishing down by Log Gulch and Departure point in the Senior Citizen Area, but the ice is starting to get iffy. Bynum and Francis still holding pretty fair but is opening up around the edges. Tiber’s holding pretty good with 10-14 inches with some open water around edges but not a lot. Fresno still holding pretty good. There’s no ice anymore on the river, and they’re still putting boats in up at the Gates of the Mountain. Folks getting really close to Cottonwood, getting a lot of perch and trout, but walleye’s been slow. Francis still getting a few Northerns, and the walleye’s have slowed down. Tiber still getting a few bigger Northerns 12-20 lbs range. If you have any questions or need rod & reel repair call Leonard 406-454-1877.
