Powder Days at Moonlight Basin Ski Resort – Montana Snow Report

Last weekend started off the beginnings of a great week of snow up here in Big Sky, MT! It was great powder of around 7-8 inches on Sunday that I was able to sift through at Moonlight Basin Resort. It was definitely busier for the President’s Day holiday, but if you knew where to go you were able to dodge the crowd and add to the very little tracks in the fresh powder.

One of my favorite ones for that day was going through the Patrol Trees, on to Lookout Ridge and then down Trapline. CLICK HERE to view Moonlight Basin Resorts interactive map and see where I am talking about.

It was one of those days that you pack a cliff bar and chow it down on the lift, not wanting to miss any second of that fresh powder!

This week only brought more snow with today Moonlight Basin getting 5 inches in the last 48 hours and even more up on the Headwaters with 6 inches of fresh powder!  That is almost 50 inches of fresh snow at Moonlight Basin int he last two weeks!

The base is great up here, the snow keeps coming down and it is definitely that time of the year when it starts to warm up and keep the softness! Time for the ski goggle tans to come out!

Moonlight is also giving out deals to us local Montanans to get away for the weekends! If you show your Montana Driver’s License you get the following:

  • 25% off lodging
  • $45 lift tickets
  • Buy 1 dinner entree, get another free at Jack Creek Grille

CLICK HERE for more details on dates and booking information.

These are screaming deals and it is EPIC snow conditions! I will see you out there!
