You may, or may not, remember my article posted a couple of months ago about trying to decide what my next toy purchase would be (click HERE for that post), and, well, the decision was made yesterday! Thank you all for your input, too. I am officially the proud owner of a 2006 Yamaha Rhino side-by-side UTV! (see above picture). Brand new, this machine costs somewhere around $10,000, but, I decided this particular used one was perfect for me in the financial and practicability senses.
I justified buying a side-by-side because I can use it year-round, whereas a snowmobile, I’m relying on Mother Nature to produce enough snow to ride, and then I’m limited to winter. A four-wheeler is cool, but like somebody I was talking to today said, “a steering wheel is sometimes cooler than handlebars”. Plus, two people sitting comfortably in a rig that can virtually go anywhere? AND, if I get the tracks for it next year? What an awesome investment!
Although this particular purchase came earlier than I expected, it couldn’t be at a better time. There are just over two weeks of wolf hunting and trapping season left, and this beastly machine will sure be helpful in covering more ground in less time than walking! Like I said before, what an awesome investment!
