Unexpected Powder Day at Moonlight Basin Ski Resort – Montana Snow Report

This week’s Big Sky area Montana snow report is happy to announce that Moonlight Basin Ski Resort got 8 inches of unexpected powder that was not in the predicted forecast. It was simply a day of wide open powder runs and absolutely no lift lines. If you are looking for some untouched powder turns this weekend, the majority of the crowd will be at Big Sky Ski Resort for the Chamberlain Rail Jam, leaving Moonlights ski runs ideal for anyone who wants to surf the pow pow!

The warmer weather predicted for this weekend will keep this powder nice and soft on the moonlight side, while getting scorched on the big sky side, yet another reason to dodge the rail jam crowd and ride the dark side this weekend!

Whiskey or Marshall are two runs that seem to be great runs no matter the amount of powder, but you cannot beat these runs when there is the slightest amount, so make sure to hit them up this weekend!

See you out there!
