Albino Elk Spotted in Montana’s Bitterroot Valley

A lumber industry worker from Sapphire Lumber, in Hamilton, was recently driving through the Bitterroot Valley and came across some elk.  He noticed one was lighter than the others and stopped to take a picture of what turned out to be an albino cow elk!  The guy is convinced the elk is just turning “gray” from being chased by wolves.  (That’s an entirely different subject)

I bet that was pretty cool sight to see in person–especially just down the Bitterroot!
