Moonlight Basin is the next venue for the Free Ride World Qualifier

Moonlight Basin is going to host the Free Ride World Qualifier. The Headwaters is what they will be riding and is pictured above. The Headwaters is on the north side of Lone Peak, that is split two ways with Big Sky Resort on the South and Moonlight Basin on the North. The competition is going to bring riders from all over North America that are competing for a spot in the Free Ride World Tour.

 

When is it? 

March 14-18

 

What is it?

A ski competition tour that is sister to the Free Ride World Tour in which athletes are competing for a spot in.

They are judged in five categories.

1. Line difficulty

2. Control

3. Fluidity

4. Jumping

5. Crashes

 

Where do you watch it?

Spectators can watch from the finish line in Stillwater Bowl.

 

Conditions have been steady up at Big Sky with a new layer of snow every couple days or so. When it is not snowing it is nice and blue bird, definitely spring skiing weather on the rise. Don’t miss out watching some of today’s best riders out there from America!
