Spring weather has melted most the ice around the lakes and rivers in Montana, opening up fishing around the state. Most ski hills around the state closed this weekend and celebrated with events including the annual pond skim event at Whitefish Mountain.

Other events announced this week include Kayak fishing series in western Montana.

Interesting hunting and fishing tattoo photos drew attention with some captivating photos that can be found at this Tattoo link.

We were also quite taken by this amazing fishing story from listener Brad Lahuta. He recapped an experience where he hooked a Fish that was then taken by a raptor. What a crazy tug of war!
