ss2Sauger Steve Knudson and Brian & Bodie Bentley, of Billings, went fishing on Fort Peck Reservoir over the weekend.

They spent two days on the water. Saturday was a good multi-species day, as they caught some nice northerns, smallmouth bass and a few walleyes.

The next day, on Sunday, they woke up to wind and cold. They had fished Sutherland on Saturday, so they decided to head north to Snow Creek and try their luck fishing for walleyes.

By 10:30am, the wind had calmed down enough so they could fish the main lake points around Snow Creek. They found some rocky bottom areas, and the walleyes were stacked up ready for action.

With a white jig tipped with a minnow, the three Billings boys were able to catch their limit of nice size 17-20 inch walleyes by 12noon. “It was a fantastic fishing experience”, said Knudson. They had rented a cabin at Hell Creek Marina where they also got their minnows.
