Smoothbore Shooting School Shotgun Class Beginning April 26th

The Missoula Trap and Skeet Club will host a NRA approved Basic Shotgun Shooting Course beginning Friday, April 26. Ages 14 and older are eligible to participate.

This course is  taught over 3 sessions, and includes classroom and range time learning how to shoot shotguns at moving targets. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; shotgun parts and operation; shotgun shell components; shotshell malfunctions; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting at straight away and angled targets; shotgun cleaning and safe storage; and continued opportunities for shotgun skills development.

Students will receive the NRA Basics of Shotgun Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksman Qualification booklet, and take a Basics of Shotgun Shooting Student Examination.

After successfully finishing the course requirements, students will receive a course completion certificate. Class size is limited, and preregistration is required. For more information go to www.guncoach.net. or call 406-543-7432.
