Fishermen:

I’ve had so many folks asking about some place to catch perch and up to this point haven’t had any information definite enough.

On May 26, Rance Hertz and I, in search of bait fish, ended up in the south East corner of East Bay in 5 1/2 feet of water where we began catching perch, so we anchored up. Using night crawler on various setups, we caught probably close to 200 fish in 3 1/2 hours late in the afternoon.

We kept close to 90, 3 of which were notable being 13, 14, and 14 1/2 inches long.  If you opt to give this area a try, and you catch bait fish along with perch, I’d be happy to pay you $.60/lb for them.

Reports from Lake Mary Ronan have been that limits of kokanee are the rule and not the exception.
