Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks will offer a short course in Lolo on May 18 tailored to those that do not trap but want to learn more about furbearer management, Montana trapping seasons and how to release traps.

The free course is set for Saturday, May 18 from 5-6:30p.m. at the Lolo Community Center (12345 Hwy 93 South) and is offered in conjunction with the Montana Trappers Association’s (MTA) first annual Trappers Heritage Celebration planned for May 18 & 19.

Students do not need to pre-register. Class participants will have the opportunity to handle traps and learn how to open them and to hear practical tips on how to avoid places where traps may be set. For more information on the course, call FWP at 406-542-5500.
