Powder River Buffalo Shoot This Weekend
By OutdoorAly

The shooters are aiming at targets, not buffalo, but its just as challenging. This event is always held Saturday and Sunday the first weekend in June. Shooters use traditional single shot or lever action rifles, .375 or larger and five metal targets are set up ranging from 250 to 1,000 yards away. Six shots are fired at each target with one target being off-hand.

The event starts with sighting in on Saturday, and the shoot on Sunday. Be sure to bring a lawn chair, some snacks, and sunscreen. Oh, and don’t forget enough ammunition to last the whole weekend. Powder River Buffalo Shoot will be held 3 miles west of Broadus near the new air strip off Highway 59 North. Follow signs.
