In the latest issue of the southwest Montana fishing magazine Cast, the Montana Outdoor Radio Show’s very own Captain wrote an article about lowland lakes and tells readers which lakes to check out and when the fishing is good.  He even talks about how enjoyable the lakes are even when the fish aren’t biting:

The lowland lake fishing within a day’s driving distance from Bozeman can be very rewarding.  Even if the fish aren’t biting, the scenery from shore or boat will make the trip worthwhile.

The Captain also talks about his favorite lowland lakes to fish and where and when to find the big fish:

Cliff and Wade Lakes are two more great options about 40 miles south of EnnisAs a great venue for fly fishing, spin fishing and trolling, they might be a lot smaller than the neighboring Hebgen, but they’re known for holding monster rainbows and browns.

If you are interested in fishing lakes in Montana, then you definitely want to check out this article.
