OUR FINAL HOORAH…

Jim Swanson & his 25-inch walleye

And It was maybe our best.

Snowcreek is where we headed.  It started at 7:30, with a walleye bite that didn’t end until 12 noon. In that time period, we probably caught and released 30 walleyes, some pike and bass. We had our limit in the freezer so everything went back for another day of catching. The weather and wind was perfect. Jim Swanson caught a 25 inch walleye. In all, we probably caught 15 walleyes that measured 17-21 inches. Crawlers, leeches, swim bait, kits tackle jigs tossed to shore it all worked and worked well.

In the afternoon, it was off to Crooked Creek for some old fashion crankin. We picked up 12 fish in about 3 hours with a combination of northerns, bass and walleye.

It is a travel day on Friday, and we are sorry to say good bye to Hell Creek.

I will be back July 7th for some more great times.

Thanks to Joe Moline and his family for cooking us Prime Rib on our last night in fishing camp.

Fort Peck lived up to its billing as the US #1 walleye lake.

And the folks who run the marina and campground are top notch!
