John Daggett from the U.S. Corp of Engineers called to tell montanaoutdoor.com that with the water elevation now at 2226.84 (as of 6/20/13) that the bottom of the Crooked Creek boat ramp on the west end of the lake should now be under water by about (2) feet.

The ramp could be used to launch small watercrafts but caution is advised. Daggett suggests that you talk to the folks at Don’s in Lewistown and see if any of their customers have used the boat ramp successfully before you make the trip 50 miles from Winnett off of Highway 200 on the gravel road to the boat ramp.

Better safe than sorry, as they say.
