Just because you require a wheelchair to get around doesn’t mean you are limited to traveling on flat surfaces.  I recently came across some pretty awesome wheelchairs for disabled individuals looking to get out and about on all types of terrains.

If you want something with some grit, but not something major, maybe you want a wheelchair with bike tires (pictured on left and below).  Think of it as being equivalent to getting around like you’re on a mountain bike.

Or maybe you’re at a sandy beach where you really want to get some shore fishing in, then you might need a wheelchair with wheels made for the sand that will allow maneuvering to be easier (pictured below).

Maybe there’s a significant amount of snow where you want to hunt, or if it’s on the way to go ice fishing, and you want something that will not have a problem moving through just about anything.  The picture above of the chair with some tank tracks would be more fitting.

I could go on and on with potential situations, but whichever type you might be wishing for, I would bet that if somebody isn’t already making one, there is a place that will custom design your outdoor dream chair.  Don’t give up on getting around off-road just because you rely on wheels rather than your feet for transportation.   A custom outdoor wheelchair is just a click away!
