walleyewedMarc Spear and Dave Montelius from Missoula (pictured on left) fished with the Captain on Canyon Ferry Reservoir Wednesday.  The weather raised havoc with the fishing, and the trio only boated 7 walleyes for their efforts.

Wind and thunderstorms rolled through the area in the afternoon and high winds in the morning made for tough boat control.

Some folks had some success like Tracy Powers (pictured above) who was fishing with Brandt Hamernick of Missoula and Mike Benson from Hot Springs.  Powers reeled in a 22-incher on Wednesday.

High winds are in order for Thursday on Canyon Ferry, so be careful if you are going to be pre-fishing for the upcoming Canyon Ferry Walleye Festival this weekend.

The Captain will be doing the Montana Outdoor Radio Show live from Canyon Ferry with FWP’s Adam Strainer this Saturday morning.
