BeFunky_IMG_5204.jpgThe excitement for this Montana Walleye Governor’s Cup is building. The two day fishing tourney is less than two weeks away, which takes place Friday-Saturday July 12-13 based out of Fort Peck Dam. There is still time for you to sign up. They already have close to 100 teams competing and are expecting between 125-135 teams at this years event.

Todd Young, the Governor’s Cup Co-Director says the fishing has been exceptional within the tournament boundaries on the lake  and he is expecting some impressive weights this year.

Young (pictured above with a  nice walleye) went out and caught 10 fish in just a few hours between 16 and 20 inches pulling lindy rigs with leeches and crawlers. They were fishing in the mid-lake region north of the Pines area on Saturday.

To sign up and join in the fun of this years event, visit http://www.mtgovcup.com/ or call the Glasgow Area Chamber of Commerce at 406-228-2222.
