Chancy from Snappy’s
Chancy at Snappy’s says it’s been hot, but the fishing has been good. EchoLake has had some good reports on kokannee in the mornings with standard kokannee gear like cowbells and weddings rings. If you want to chase Lake Superior Whitefish, they are picking them up in that 2-3lbs range. Chancey Camped out at HorseshoeLake in the Thomson chain of lakes going after Tiger muskees, but caught lots of small mouth bass instead. There’s been some fair reports for kokannee on BitterrootLake. Trolling lead quarter line about 40ft down. Upper Thomson been successful on pike, lots of 2-6lb range. DickieLake towards Eureka, has had some reports of smaller kokannee and small mouth bass. FlatheadLake’s had a few reports on the Whitefish. SmithLake doing excellent on pike with spinner baits, and areaRiver fishing has been great also. The North Fork been fishing really good for fly fishing mostly small cut throat. South Fork above Hungry horse Dam been great for some big cut throat.

Leonard from Roberts Bait and Tackle
Leonard from Robert’s Bait and Tackle says Holter is still a bit slow on walleye, but folks are pulling down trout. Piscan is producing Northern. Bynum’s getting a lot of nice perch and small trout. Francis is a bit tough to get into, you have to get in by the East end mainly because the lake’s getting low. Tiber the bite is hot with some really big fish, 30-34 inch walleye. Fresno’s got a good bite going on, a lot 15-17inchers. Leonard reminds us of The Tiber Walleye Tournament this last week end of July.
