Fishing in western Montana has been spotty to good. Spotty fishing on middle Bitterroot and Clark Fork with dry flies during the heat of the day.

Blackfoot has been good with various dry flies during morning and early afternoon.

Georgetown lake has been very good with slender damsel fly dries-if not too windy.

Fishing on the Missouri river by Wolf Creek, below Holter has been opportunistic but tough with tricos in the morning-be patient and oversize the patterns a bit-since there are so many tricos on the water. Nymph fishing has been good to spotty – but you have to fight a lot of masses of weeds.
