Leonard from Roberts Bait and Tackle
Leonard from Robert’s Bait and Tackle says the Timber tournament was busy, but they weren’t pulling record size fish that day.  Tiber fishing is best done on spinners.  The 12 pounder was done on Lindy Rig with a Leach.  Most folks are using spinner blades, and most where fishing the Bootlegger on the Marias Arm.  On Holter they still haven’t officially decide what  killed all that karp.  Lakes Francis is a bit tough to get into with the low water, but if you get on the lake despite the wind and rain you can do well on walleye and perch.  You can’t get a big boat into Bynum right now, it’s too low. Still producing some nice 12-13 inch perch out of there.  Fresno’s got a good bite going on for walleye. If you have any questions or need rod & reel repair call Leonard 406-454-1877.
