HAMILTON MT. Casting for Recovery is holding a single-fly fly fishing event in the heart of the Bitterroot Valley, Friday and Saturday, October 4 and 5, 2013. All proceeds from the event will benefit Casting for Recovery, a national nonprofit organization that provides free support and education retreats for women of any age and in any stage of breast cancer, and incorporates fly fishing into the program.

Aptly named Cast One for Hope, the single-fly event is limited to 30 anglers, two per boat, and will take place on various locations of the Bitterroot River out of Hamilton, Montana on Saturday October 5. Many local outfitters and guides have signed on to provide boats and expert guiding skills including Missoula’s Grizzly Hackle, Wapiti Waters Fly Fishing Montana, Fishs Eddy O, Renegade Outfitters, Missoula Fishing Company, Jeff Lukas Guide Service, Blackfoot Outfitter, Two Dog Outfitters, Missoulian Angler and Osprey Outfitters Fly Shop and Guide Service.

Event details can be found at www.castoneforhope.org. The $1,000 registration fee per angler includes a Friday evening gathering at a stunning private home in Hamilton, Saturday’s guided drift including lunch, and a Saturday evening exclusive celebration dinner at the Stock Farm Club in Hamilton. Silent auction items will be available for bidding and awards from the day’s fishing will be presented. Tickets for the celebration dinner only are also available on the event website.
