Pike fishing on The Middle and Lower Thompson been pretty good, throwing big plugs, swim bait, or bait fishing with smelt or squaw fish. Some out fishing out a little deeper 25-30ft range fishing for some nice perch. Ochoe Lake the bass fishing’s been a little slow. A few good smallmouth and some some good Lake Superior been good in 35-40ft of water. Flathead Lake has had some good reports out on the delta in 60-80ft of water jigging or trolling. And some going shallower in about 30-40ft of water getting those Lake Superior Whitefish. Woods Bay and Woods Bay Point doing well trolling Flat Fish getting some good macks. Smith Lake still has a lot of small pike and some nice perch in that 10-12 inch range. The Flathead River down by Snappy’s, the Main Stem should be kicking in soon with Lake Superior Whitefish. Usually it begins October to mid October. There’s been a few guys just drift fishing for rainbows.
